Ralph C. Brown Sr. Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Overview

The Ralph C. Brown Sr. Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a family member of an NCSLVA dealer member company. This scholarship honors the legacy of Ralph C. Brown Sr. by supporting academic pursuits and fostering educational growth within the NCSLVA community.

Recipients are required to provide a yearly report detailing their academic accomplishments and personal growth, ensuring continued engagement with the values and goals of the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Relationship to Member Company: 
    • Must be an immediate family member (child, grandchild, spouse, or dependent) of an NCSLVA dealer member company.
  • Academic Standing: 
    • Enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited post-secondary institution (college, university, technical school, or trade school).
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for current coursework.
  • Leadership and Community Involvement:
    • Demonstrated involvement in school, community, or extracurricular activities.
  • Application Submission: Complete the application form and submit the following materials:
    • Official or Unofficial current transcript
    • Resume
    • Two letters of recommendation (one academic and one personal/professional).
    • Personal essay (500-1,000 words) detailing academic goals, leadership experiences, and connection to the NCSLVA community.
