About NCSLVA's Youth Scholarship Program - 2025 Scholarship Application Coming Soon

Scholarships to Support the Futures of the Sons and Daughters of First Responders

The electronic security industry works intimately with the public safety sector. We appreciate the contribution that police, firefighters, paramedics, and EMTs offer to our communities. To show this appreciation, the program was developed to provide college/industry scholarship awards to their deserving sons or daughters.

High school seniors who have a commitment to excellence and are inspired by the work their First Responder parent(s) do in our communities, are invited to apply.

Required Documents for applying for 2025 NCSLVA Youth Scholarship

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO COMPLETE THIS APPLICATION:

  • Official High School Transcripts
  • Official SAT/ACT Scores (optional for 2025)
  • College Acceptance Letter
  • Resume
  • Letter of Recommendation (from high school counselor, teacher or outside agency.)
  • Proof of Parent's Occupation (copy of ID or supervisory letter on station letterhead is acceptable.)
  • Documentation of Community Service Hours to be uploaded
  • Essay Prompt: "What it means to me to have my parent/guardian involved in securing our community and/or being in the life safety industry." (500-1,000 words)


Step 1: Students should apply directly using the link that will be posted soon! 

Step 2: The Youth Scholarship committee will review applications and notify winners by April 30th. 

Step 3: The winner  and the student’s first responder parent will be acknowledged and presented with a check at the annual convention business meeting at the 2025 Annual Convention, location to be announced soon!
