members grow and better run their businesses. It was exciting to see so many members networking, sharing best practices, and discussing the opportunities and challenges facing North Carolina's low-voltage industry. Whether you were reconnecting with longtime colleagues or meeting new industry professionals for the first time, the energy and enthusiasm throughout the event made it clear that our association continues to grow stronger because of the engagement of our membership. Special thanks to all of our sponsors the made the inaugural Summer Summit possible and such a tremendous success!
Now it's time to turn our attention to our next quarterly event, the 2026 Don Childers Memorial Golf Tournament on October 1st at Pinewood Country Club in Asheboro. Registration is now open, and I encourage everyone to reserve your spot as soon as possible. Gather your foursome, invite your team, customers or business partners, and plan to join us for a fantastic day of golf, networking, and fellowship while honoring the legacy of Don Childers.
As we celebrate successful events, we are also focused on the future of our industry. Workforce Development, as we discussed at the Summer Summit, remains one of NCSLVA's highest priorities, and we are committed to expanding opportunities for individuals interested in careers in the low-voltage profession.
To continue that momentum, we are seeking members who are passionate about helping grow our workforce by serving on a new Workforce Development Committee. This committee will focus on grassroots efforts to establish additional low-voltage education and training programs throughout North Carolina, helping create pathways for the next generation of technicians and industry professionals.
If you are interested in serving on this important initiative, I encourage you to reach out to our Executive Director, Shannon Few, at shannon.few@ncslva.org. Your experience, ideas, and commitment can make a lasting impact on our industry for years to come.
Thank you for your continued support of NCSLVA and for everything you do to strengthen our association. I look forward to seeing many of you in Asheboro this October!
Sincerely,
Mark Russell
